A complete artistic and technical reconstruction programme for a tactical game, recast as a recovered war ledger and censored municipal archive.
Mission profile
- Replace generic presentation with a proprietary tactical-thriller language visible from boot to debrief.
- Preserve tactical readability, save semantics and reversible reconstruction boundaries.
- Build a traceable asset forge using inventories, hashes, manifests, provenance and rollback paths.
- Separate the preserved tactical core from Godot 4 presentation adapters, themes, HUD and world profiles.
- Certify complete playability across canonical missions, campaign branches, endings and release-critical content.
Architecture
A recovered object
Black Ledger must not resemble a renamed legacy title. The identity is built around recovered archives, military bureaucracy, industrial dusk, professional fatigue, rare signal color and readable severity. Darkness remains a consequence of systems and institutional decomposition, never an excuse to conceal information.
The ledger as interface
Contracts, money, loyalty, ammunition, wounds, missing personnel and civilian consequence are treated as entries in one operational record. Briefings, roster screens, tactical HUD, casualties and debriefs share a disciplined semantic grammar rather than a universal black-and-red filter.
Reconstruction with provenance
The programme separates original evidence, editable sources and reviewed runtime exports. New code, branding, documentation and assets receive Pomegranate Interactive attribution; inherited material retains its actual credits and rights status. A renamed title is not a legal time machine, however convenient that fantasy might be.
