The book begins with a memory handed over in a garden and follows it into the violence, the fraternity and the impossible distances of the Eastern Front. It is historical work, inherited debt and tribute to the French pilots who went east to fight alongside the Soviet Union. Not nostalgia: inheritance under pressure.

The revised edition restores the literary source terrain from which several Pomegranate systems and games draw their pressure. The book remains sovereign: not an appendix to the software, but the older machine underneath it. The playable episode built from this manuscript is documented separately, and is not released.
