Machines thatremember.

Pomegranate Interactive is the artistico-technological studio of Edouard Jourdan: a DBA, writer and systems builder creating semantic engines, autonomous institutions, software archaeology and dark fictional worlds.

“Resurrecting abandoned futures without stealing their corpses.”

The ecosystem

A studio built as a causal organism.

Red Flags supplies the pressure and narrative corpus. Field Horizon interprets meaning. Abracas compiles intent. Leviathan produces consequences. Helter Skelter and Abomination become operational proving grounds. Hyperstition Ø carries the mythology across media.

Operating doctrine

No cheerful automation. No blind machine worship.

The studio uses advanced systems while refusing the cult that treats technology as a substitute for judgment, memory or transcendence.

01

Local sovereignty

Core operation must remain possible on owned hardware. Cloud is an extension, not a leash.

02

Audit before spectacle

Every autonomous action needs provenance, limits, recovery and a record of why it happened.

03

Memory over novelty

A system that cannot remember contradiction, failure and inheritance is merely generating weather.

04

Preservation without theft

Dead software deserves forensic respect, legal discipline and more imagination than asset laundering.

05

Institutions, not chatbots

Agents become useful when governed by roles, constitutions, vetoes and shared state.

06

Meaning has consequences

Semantic interpretation matters only when it changes models, decisions, worlds and future constraints.

Machine room

Local first. Cloudable. Observable.

The work begins on controlled local hardware, keeps its logs, and scales only when the architecture earns the right to become more complicated.

The operator

Edouard Jourdan works where databases, ruins and myths intersect.

A senior database administrator by trade and a writer by necessity, he treats infrastructure as archaeology and fiction as systems design.

His work grows from SQL, PostgreSQL, logs, local LLMs, reverse engineering, military and religious history, late-1990s PC culture, abandoned leisure architecture and a deep suspicion of every institution that calls its own decay progress.

CONTACT / SIGNAL

Commission the machine. Study the ruins. Build something that remembers.

Research conversations, technical collaboration, publishing, game preservation and serious artistic partnerships are welcome. Generic growth-hacking sermons may remain outside the perimeter.
